Each weapon type has strengths and weaknesses against different armor types:

Defender Armor vs Slash vs Cleave vs Blunt
Robe 1.25× (WEAK) 1.00× (Average) 0.75× (Strong)
Leather Armor 1.00× (Neutral) 1.00× (Neutral) 1.00× (Neutral)

Armor Properties

Armor Type Melee Reduction Spell Modifier Spell Power Best For
Robe 0% Normal +20-30% Mages 🔮
Leather 5% Normal None Early Game 🌱
Scale 10% Normal None Hybrids ⚔️🔮
Plate 20% +10% damage taken None Warriors ⚔️
💡 Strategic Tips:
  • Slash weapons (Longsword, Greatsword) are best against Robes and weak against Scale
  • Cleave weapons (Axe, Scimitar) are best against Scale and weak against Plate
  • Blunt weapons (Mace, Hammer) are best against Plate and weak against Robes
  • Leather armor is neutral (no weaknesses/strengths) - perfect early-game armor with 5% protection
  • Scale/Plate armor has tactical bonuses/weaknesses - choose based on enemy weapons
  • Plate armor provides the best physical protection but makes you vulnerable to spells
  • Robes provide spell power bonuses for mages but offer no physical protection

✨ Magic Item System

Weapons and armor can have magical enhancements from +1 to +10, making them more powerful.

How Magic Items Work

Drop Chance: When mobs die, weapons and armor have a chance to be magical.

Enhancement Levels (+1 to +10): Higher + means better stats. The mob's HP determines the maximum + level that can drop.

Enhancement Bonuses

Item Type Bonus per + Example (+7)
Weapons +1 damage per + +7 weapon = +7 damage
Armor +2% damage reduction per + +7 armor = +14% reduction
Robes +1% spell power per + +7 robe = +27% total spell power

Rarity Colors

Enhancement Rarity Color
+1 to +2 Uncommon ● Green
+3 to +4 Rare ● Blue
+5 to +6 Epic ● Purple
+7 to +8 Legendary ● Orange
+9 to +10 Mythic ● Gold

Magic Drop Rates (Rare Mobs Only)

Note: Common mobs drop reagents only, not weapons/armor. Only rare mobs drop equipment with magic enhancement.

Mob HP Rare Mob Magic % Max +
20-32 HP 10-26% +1
33-40 HP 51-62% +2
41-50 HP 63-82% +3
51-60 HP 75% +4
61-80 HP 70% +6
81-100 HP 90% +7
100+ HP 100% GUARANTEED! +7
🎯 Hunting for +7 Items: Rare mobs from high-HP zones are your best bet! A 100+ HP rare mob guarantees a magic drop with a chance at +7 enhancement.

🔮 Reagents & Spell Casting

Reagents are magical components consumed when casting spells. Each spell level requires one specific reagent.

Reagent Requirements

Spell Level Reagent Required Drops From
Level 1 No reagent needed -
Level 2 Magic Dust 20-26 HP mobs
Level 3 Mystic Shard 27-35 HP mobs
Level 4 Arcane Crystal 36-43 HP mobs
Level 5 Astral Core 44-46 HP mobs
Level 6 Cosmic Essence 47+ HP mobs
💡 Simple System: One reagent per spell level - no matter which school you're in! A Fire mage and Good mage both use the same Magic Dust for their Level 2 spells.

📖 Weaponcraft Skills

Master three weapon skills through combat. Each skill improves separately based on which weapon you use.

The Three Skills

Skill Common Weapons (60% Cap) Rare Weapons (100% Cap) How to Level
Slash Longsword Greatsword Deal damage with slash weapons
Cleave Axe Scimitar Deal damage with cleave weapons
Blunt Mace Hammer Deal damage with blunt weapons

💪 Progression: New players start with all 3 skills at 5-15%. Skills improve based on damage dealt with that weapon type.

🎯 Mastery Goal: Reach 100% in one skill at around 80 HP (Level 61). Mastering all three is an endgame challenge!

👾 Monsters & Loot

Mobs drop different loot based on their HP and whether they're common or rare.

Common vs Rare Mobs

Common Mobs: Drop reagents for spell casting. No weapons or armor.

Rare Mobs: Drop weapons, armor, and robes with magic enhancement chance. Drop TWO items (main loot + bonus gear)!

Overview

Five unique legendary artifacts exist in the entire game world. These powerful items grant incredible bonuses but demand constant challenges from their wielders.

🔓 Unlocked at 30 HP: When you lose your Guardian Angel protection and enable PVP, you also unlock the ability to discover artifacts.

🎲 Discovery System

How to Discover:

  • Kill any mob that awards experience
  • Small chance to discover an artifact (very rare!)
  • Roll window appears showing your luck
  • If you win: Artifact drops on the ground for you to loot

Requirements:

  • Must be 30+ HP
  • At least one artifact must be available (unclaimed)
  • Artifact drops at your feet - press G to loot it

⚠️ Rarity: Approximately 1 discovery per 10,000 mob kills. Only ONE of each artifact exists in the world. If all 5 are held by players, none can be discovered.

⚔️ Living Artifacts - The Demand System

Artifacts are not free gifts - they are living entities that test their wielders!

How It Works

Stage Challenge Deadline Details
Stage 1 Leave Town 3 days Stay outside safe zones for 5 minutes total (timer pauses in town)
Stage 2 Slay Creatures 3 days Slay 50 of a specific mob type (chosen by artifact, level-appropriate)
Stage 3 Slay More Creatures 7 days Slay 100 of a random mob type
Stage 4 Prove Yourself in PVP 7 days Defeat 1 player in combat (will flag you for PVP consequences)
Stage 5+ The Cycle Continues Varies Returns to mob slaying with DOUBLED requirements (100→200→400...)

Crown of Riches - Special Rules

  • 6-hour deadlines instead of 24 hours (4× faster!)
  • Always includes PVP - Stage 4 repeats in every loop cycle
  • Loops through 2→3→4 instead of 1→2→3 like other artifacts
  • Designed for competitive Guild Wars gameplay

⏰ Deadlines & Consequences

✅ If You Complete a Demand:

  • Progress bar turns green ✓
  • Shows "Completed! Next stage in X days"
  • You're safe until the deadline passes
  • Next stage begins when deadline expires

❌ If You Fail to Complete:

  • Artifact abandons you immediately when deadline passes
  • Item removed from your inventory
  • Artifact returns to the world for others to discover
  • Server-wide announcement of your failure

⚡ Multiple Artifacts:

  • Hold 2 artifacts = Deadlines are 2× faster (1.5 days instead of 3)
  • Hold 3 artifacts = Deadlines are 3× faster (1 day instead of 3)
  • Each artifact has its own demands
  • Very difficult to hold multiple!

💀 Risk & Restrictions

⚠️ Artifacts Cannot Be Vaulted:

  • Must stay in your inventory at all times
  • Cannot hide them safely
  • Always at risk

💀 Death with Artifact:

  • Artifact drops on your corpse (like all items)
  • Anyone can loot it
  • Special death announcement: "⚔️ [Player] has been killed and dropped the [Artifact]!"
  • Demands and progress transfer to whoever picks it up

🔄 Trading Artifacts:

  • Can trade artifacts to other players
  • Recipient must be 30+ HP
  • Demands transfer with the artifact
  • A late-stage artifact is less valuable than early-stage

🔄 Server Restart:

  • Artifacts on the ground are deleted
  • Return to discovery pool
  • Forces artifacts back into circulation

🎯 Strategic Tips

Choosing Artifacts

Artifact Best For
Ring of Strength Melee fighters, PVP warriors
Amulet of Casting Mages, spell damage dealers
Tome of Insight Players leveling up quickly
Orb of Focus Mastering specific skills/spells
Crown of Riches Prestige item, bragging rights

💡 Pro Tips:

  • Holding Multiple: Very risky (deadlines speed up dramatically). Only attempt if you're very active. Benefits stack!
  • Demand Strategy: Complete demands early for safety. Don't wait until last minute. Drop artifact if you can't complete (rather than lose it forever).
  • PVP Considerations: Everyone wants artifacts. You're a target when holding one. Death = you lose it. Form alliances or go solo?

🎊 Good Luck, Adventurer!

Artifacts are the ultimate endgame content. Only the strongest, most dedicated players will hold them for long. Will you prove yourself worthy?
